Videos promoting the Maldives will be shown in all PVR owned cinemas of India for the two week duration. This promotion is timed to commence in the beginning of summer. Consequently it is believed that this campaign will gain the attention of Indian summer holidaymakers.
During the promotion period, some big budget Bollywood movies is scheduled for release. As a result a large audience will get exposure to the Maldives advertisements. Among the movies scheduled for release during this period include Piku and Bombay Velvet.

He reiterated why the Maldives is such a popular holiday destination “Maldives is a destination that offers a complete experience be it gourmet food, water activities, relaxation on the beach or world-class spa experience. So whether it is for a honeymoon, a family holiday or just an extended weekend getaway – there is something for everyone.”
A total of 45,587 visitors from India visited Maldives last year which is a growth of 19.9 per cent compared to year 2013.
